Royal Blues

Inspired by the area’s prime plantation, designer Tara Skinner takes the lead on styled scene fit for a duke and duchess.

We Southerners love tradition, and the classics are hard to beat—especially with Richmond Hill’s stately Ford Plantation as a breathtaking backdrop.

Working with Pantone’s updated navy, Snorkel Blue, and the versatile Iced Coffee, Tara and her team at Posh Petals and Pearls created a styled shoot that would make the Duchess of Cambridge proud. Blue-and-white china motifs shone against a backdrop of lush white roses and a sweeping plantation lawn.

“Since this color scheme is very rich and classic, we decided to take it in a regal direction,” says Tara. “Hannah, one of our lead planners, found an old picture of John F. and Jacqueline Kennedy’s wedding day, and it served as inspiration.”

Prime Paper

Your invitation suite introduces your guests to the tone of your wedding. A monogram and floral motifs keep with custom, while a golden response envelope brings you up-to-date.

A Modest Proposal

Ever since Kate Middleton wore a demure lace gown on her wedding day, more coverage has been here to stay. Keep your look simple with a classic updo and your grandmother’s pearls.

Shrouded in Mystery

Ancient Greeks said veils kept away bad spirits, so where’s the harm in giving tradition a try? A chapel-length ivory veil—with an asymmetrical hem to keep it interesting—elevates your look.

Crowning Glory

Delicate china finds the perfect complement in shiny gold chargers, Iced Coffee linens, white blooms and a mix of vintage and Chiviari chairs.
