Advice to other brides: It sounds cliché, but soak in every minute, from waking up the morning of, surrounded by your bridesmaids over tea and coffee, to the sweet nothings between you and your new husband as you leave in your exit car. Try to visit with everyone who has traveled from near and far to celebrate your big day, but also enjoy time dancing the night away with your husband, family and friends! And one last thing, do not stress the day of. My dad would remind me throughout the whole planning process that I could worry about things up until the day of my wedding, but after that I was to only relax and enjoy my day, because at that point there was nothing I could do about things that may go wrong, and no one would even notice anyway. And even if things did go wrong on the day of my wedding, I had our wonderful planner, Marvee McKenzie, from Tara Skinner Weddings and Events (who we refer to as “Marvee-lous”) to save the day!
