Something Blue

In the lush countryside of Lancashire, England, five simple words created a wedding tradition that, more than 100 years later, continues to dictate the wish lists of altar-bound brides. Unlike the old, new and borrowed, the “something blue” lends itself to the inspired and the innovative. Enter the
vibrancy of Southern hydrangeas, Scottish thistles and Dutch delphiniums not in a bouquet, but on top of a single-tier cake, where the good luck of nature’s boldest—and rarest—color stunningly completes the nuptial verse.
